With just one day to go…

..our volunteers are working furiously to help prepare student lanterns in time for tomorrow’s parade.
If you are interesting in volunteering before or during the parade, we would really appreciate it! Jobs may include stewarding (wearing an orange vest & collecting poles at Dac Rowe etc.) or assisting artists in carrying their lanterns. Please come to the gym at Thatcher Brook Primary School, Stowe Street VT, at 3pm for the stewards’ meeting. Many thanks!

Parade Photos 2014

Well that’s it for another year! Thanks to everyone that participated and made the effort to turn up in some very challenging wintry weather conditions. We had a fabulous evening and we hope you did too. Here are some parade photos from the evening. Taken by Gordon Miller and Gowri Savoor. Please enjoy!

Call to Volunteers!

We are only a week away from this year’s River of Light – and we would love your help! If you have a few hours to spare on Parade Day, Saturday December 7th, please do let us know – any assistance would be really appreciated!

Here is a small sampling of what we’ll be getting up to on Parade Day:
10am-3pm: getting lanterns ready and fitting poles
3pm to 5pm: helping artists with their lanterns, distributing lanterns to the Thatcher Brook students, attending light stations
5pm to 6pm: stewarding in the parade and generally having fun!

If any of this appeals to you, and you can spare an hour or more, please email Gowri at here or MK Monley here.

Thank you!
